For Meditation

We turn our attentions to any number of fruitless things as days go by so quickly, and as the work we wish we had done continues to pile up. As this happens, temptation to grow cynical of others and to grow weary of the work set before us looms large.

I recommend beginning at square one, the first words of the most ancient of ancient prayers: Psalm 1.

Spend some time saying these words in prayer. Perhaps even we will receive enough faith from the Lord that we do not find ourselves seated in the place of the scoffers.
